Sam Levinson’s horror-thriller Assassination Nation now has a red band trailer out.

The movie stars Hari Nef, Abra, Odessa Young, and Suki Waterhouse as high school seniors who have to protect themselves when their hometown crumbles over the course of one violent night.

Assassination Nation, with its bloody critique of patriotism and suburbia as well as its portrayal of American communities tearing themselves apart, seems reminiscent of the Purge franchise, down to the gaudy and menacing masks that were a standout aesthetic choice in The Purge: Anarchy and The Purge: Election Year. The next installment in the Purge franchise, The First Purge, is out on July 4, actually.

The film is written and directed by Sam Levinson. You can catch Assassination Nation in theaters on September 21.
