Priyanka Chopra (Quantico) will be playing bad girl Victoria Leeds in upcoming Baywatch movie, alongside Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Pamela Anderson and Zac Efron. The film is directed by Seth Gordon and slated for a May 2017 release.
Speaking to Cosmopolitan, Chopra talked about playing the villain, “I have to wear extra-high heels so that I can look intimidating, because I’m the villain in the movie. Otherwise, you know, I’m so little and so tiny, and I have to look up to them, and it doesn’t work.” She also expounded upon her failure to maintain a Baywatch diet — “So I hide behind my towels and eat my burgers because everyone else is on salad, and I feel guilty”.
E! News also caught up with Chopra, in the midst of the Time 100 Gala, where she was being honored. “How many people take on ‘The Rock?'” quipped Chopra, adding, “See, that’ll be a notch on my list”. Speaking about her co-stars and their characters she said, “Dwayne and Zac Efron have the best chemistry, and I came and interrupt their chemistry.”
Chopra also said a few words about the honor being bestowed upon her as Time‘s 100 most influential people — “I’ve been in America just six months now, my show aired only in September, and it’s so great to have such an incredible reception in a country where I don’t hail from, you know?”
