Miles from ordinary, the teaser trailer for The Prodigy arrives in time for Halloween to scare the ever-loving crap out of you. Director Nicholas McCarthy and screenwriter Jeff Buhler (Pet Sematary 2019) intend to take the creepy-possessed-kid horror genre to the next level with this upcoming attempt to make you wet yourself in a public theater.
Jackson Robert Scott plays 5-year-old Miles, a boy who is possessed by an old spirit who doesn’t appear to be very friendly. His mom, Sarah (Orange Is the New Black‘s Taylor Schilling), does the smart thing by trying to get him professional help, but will it be enough to prevent lots of scary things from happening? My guess is…probably not.
