Peacock Sets Premiere Date And Releases Teaser For Stormy Daniels Documentary

Peacock has released a first-look teaser trailer for Stormy Daniels original documentary, Stormy, and has announced the premiere date for March 18, 2024. The project is directed and produced by Sarah Gibson who was nominated for an Emmy for her work on Orgasm Inc: The Story of OneTaste. Two-time Emmy-nominated Erin Lee Carr will also serve as a producer.

The official description of the documentary: Stormy delves into the life and times of Stormy Daniels, as she shares her story and account of events that have become part of American history … the film takes the audience behind the curtain as Stormy navigates being a mother, an artist, and an advocate working hard to reinvent herself, while still grappling with the bombshell that went off in her life five years earlier. From reporters to lawyers to politicians, many have attempted to define Stormy Daniels. Stormy tells the unvarnished truth about an unlikely American icon — this time, in her own words.”

Stormy Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, was formerly an adult film star and reportedly had an affair with Donald Trump in 2006, according to the Wall Street Journal. She was allegedly paid $130,000 in “hush money” to keep quiet during Trump’s presidential campaign in 2016. Trump has continually denied the claims. He has been charged and plead not-guilty to 34 felony counts of falsifying business records in connection with this payment. According to CBS earlier this year, Daniels is set to testify in the trial set for March 25, just days after the documentary release.

The project is executive produced by Judd Apatow of Apatow Productions along with Sara Berstein and Meredith Kaulfers from Imagine Documentaries. Emelia Brown will serve as another producer.
