Oscar Nominations 2022: ‘The Power of the Dog’ Leads the Way; ‘Dune’ Runner-Up

Back in the Dolby Theatre, slightly closer to their usual date, this year’s Academy Awards, the biggest event in Hollywood, will take place on March 27. While not much is yet known about the ceremony itself, Will Packer will produce it, along with the chief of staff of his production companies, Shayla Cowan. Earlier this year, it was also confirmed that, for the first time since 2018, the Academy Award ceremony would have an assigned host.

The Power of the Dog has the most nominations (12), but Belfast (7) is also one of the favorites to win on awards night. Serious contenders are also Dune (10 nominations), West Side Story (7), King Richard (6), Don’t Look Up (4), and Drive My Car (4)

You can check out the complete list of nominations that actors Leslie Jordan and Tracee Ellis Ross announced in a live stream from Los Angeles.
