‘Oh, The Places You’ll Go!’ Movie in Works at Warner Bros and to be Produced by J.J. Abrams

Dr. Seuss Enterprises is expanding with Warner Bros as a slew of projects are being worked on, including Dr. Seuss’ Oh, The Places You’ll Go! an animated feature film that Warner Animation Group and adapted by Bad Robot Productions will produce.

Producing an animated feature film will be marked as a first for J.J. Abrams’ company. Abrams and Bad Robot head of motion pictures Hannah Minghella will produce the film. It is scheduled for a 2027 release.

“Dr. Seuss’ Oh, The Places You’ll Go! is full of the inspiration, imagination, wonder, and hope that has encouraged and entertained readers of all ages for generations,” said Minghella. “It’s hard to imagine a more iconic or beloved book to bring to life ad Bad Robot’s first animated feature for WB.”

In 2018 it was announced that an animated feature film based on Theodor Geisel’s iconic 1957 children’s book Cat In The Hat was happening. Erica Rivinoja and Art Hernandez will be directors for the film and look at a 2024 release date. This animated feature film will be the first film to lead the companies’ slate of projects from Dr. Seuss.

Another feature film that is also in the works is based on Thing One and Thing Two, characters that originated in the book Cat In The Hat, and the release of this feature film is looking at 2026.

Dr. Seuss Enterprises president Susan Brandt said, “Warner Animation Group truly understands the timelessness of Dr. Seuss, the incredible impact of the characters and stories, and how to translate the magical appeal to truly come to life on screen. With the amazing talent, they are bring to these projects, we are looking forward to bringing Oh, The Places You’ll Go! and Thing One and Thing Two to fans in a way that will delight them, capture their imaginations, and inspire them to read and reread the stories. We are also looking forward to collaborating with the incredibly talented Erica Rivinoja, and Art Hernandez, who we know will make magic with Cat In The Hat.”

I did attend Long Beach City College for a couple of years, I then transferred to CSULB in 2019. I want to write something outside the normal, something no one would think to write about in a unique way. It also shows how far I am willing to go to produce something amazing that will get more readers interested in the world of Journalism. I am on my way to making a professional life for myself.
