Divergent PR, best known for specializing in film festival projects and award season campaigns, has revealed their upcoming slate for the end of 2026. Notable past films represented by the firm include Best Picture winning Everything Everywhere All At Once, The Zone of Interest, and The Whale.
Filipiñana kicks off the slate, set to release on August 28 in NY and September 4 in LA, with Kino Lorber set to be the distributor. Written and directed by Rafael Manuel, the film will follow Isabel (Jorrybell Agoto) and her life working at a posh country club just outside of Manila. As she explores the luxury of the club, she will have to confront the darkness that lies just below the surface, forcing her to come to terms with sinister elements that arise from her boss, Dr. Palanca (Teroy Guzman), her origins in her native Philippines, and her past. The film won the World Cinema Dramatic Special Jury Award for Creative Vision at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival.
Dear You is up next, set for release on September 4 with Well Go USA in line to distribute. The film will follow a young man traveling to Thailand to visit his estranged grandfather, who is said to be extremely wealthy. His journey will quickly result in chaos upon learning that the man who has been in contact with his grandmother for years is not his grandfather. The film is directed by Lan Hongchun, who also has a writing credit, and stars Li Sitong and Wang Yongtong.
Releasing on October 16 is The Devils, which originally released in 1971, but did not fully align with director Ken Russell’s vision. Starring Vanessa Redgrave and Oliver Reed, this first-time 4K restoration includes an edit from Russell that was completed in 2004. The film depicts obsession and corruption between church and state when a nun accuses a French priest of witchcraft. Musk is also set for release on October 16, with distribution from Bleecker Street and directed by Alex Gibney. The film promises a behind the scenes look at the life of billionaire Elon Musk.
Soul Patrol will be released on November 6 in NY and November 13 in LA. Directed by J.M. Harper, the film will follow the reunion of the Vietnam War’s first Black special ops unit as they turn back the clock to reveal military history, but more importantly what it means to confront your past. The documentary won the US Documentary Competition Directing Award at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival.
Janus Films will be distributing Cameron Winter At Carnegie Hall, set for release on November 20. From most recent Best Director winner Paul Thomas Anderson (One Battle After Another), the film will follow 23 year old Winter’s one night only, sold out performance at Carnegie Hall. The performance followed up a months-long tour from Winter’s band Geese, and the solo performance was described by GQ as “staggeringly good”. Releasing on the same day is winner of the Grand Prix at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival, Minotaur. Written and directed by Andrey Zvyagintsev, the film will follow Gleb (Dmitriy Mazurov) coming to terms with his work life falling apart, while also being forced to confront his wife Galina (Iris Lebedeva) having an affair.
Set for release on November 25 is All Of A Sudden, with NEON set to distribute. The film is directed by Ryusuke Hamaguchi and stars Virginie Efira and Tao Okamoto, who both won Best Actress for the film at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival. The films synopsis is as follows:
“Director of a care facility for the elderly, Marie-Lou strives to introduce an innovative care philosophy based on listening and respecting residents’ dignity, despite resistance from part of her staff. Her encounter with Mari, a Japanese theater director battling cancer, will profoundly reshape her path. By forming a deep, supportive friendship, the two women join forces in a shared struggle to make the impossible possible.”
Sticking with NEON, Clarissa will be released on December 11. Directed by Arie Esiri and directed and written by Chuko Esiri, the film will act as a modern day reimagining of the Virginia Woolf’s 1925 novel Mrs. Dalloway. Set in Lagos, Nigeria, Clarissa will be met unexpectedly with old friends as she prepares for a dinner party, setting up for an unforgettable and bittersweet night as the group takes a trip down memory lane. The film stars Sophie Okonedo, David Oyelowo, Ayo Edebiri, India Amarteifio, and Toheeb Jimoh.
Releasing on December 18 in NY and December 25 in LA is La Gradiva, from writer/director Marine Atlan. Winner of the Critics’ Week Grand Prize at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival, the film will follow a group of high school students on a trip to Pompeii to explore the ruins and remains petrified by Vesuvius. Their quest combines youth with a place frozen in time long ago, setting up a whirlwind of intense emotion that the students may be forced to surrender themselves to. Finishing off the slate is Coward, set for release on December 25 and acting as Belgium’s official Oscar entry. Directed and written by Lukas Dhont, also written by Angelo Tijssens, the film is set in 1916 during WW1 and follows a group of soldiers on the frontlines in Belgium. Pierre (Emmanuel Macchia) meets fellow Belgian soldier Francis (Valentin Champagne) and together the pair attempt to prove themselves whilst bringing hope to their comrades.
