The teaser for the next thriller with Maika Monroe in the leading role has been released. Under the title of Victorian Psycho, the film is expected to hit theaters later this fall. Victorian Psycho follows a governess in the 1850’s who takes up a new position at a wealthy residence. But as dark disturbances begin to unfold around the manor, she becomes the main suspect in a horrific mystery that puts her very life in her hands. Monroe of Longlegs fame takes up the lead role as the governess, with the supporting talents of Thomasin McKenzie, Ruth Wilson, Jacobi Jupe, and Jason Isaacs.
This film marks the third feature film for director Zachary Wigon, following The Heart Machine and Sanctuary. Wigon has worked on several short films in the past, and even has a small handful of TV credits to his name. He’ll also be on board for Victorian Psycho as a producer.
Hollywood Reporter notes that Monroe isn’t the only Longlegs alum to be working on the project. Dan Kagan is credited as a producer, working on the film for Traffic., his own production company. He was a producer on Longlegs as well, with Traffic. being one of the main companies to bring the film to audiences.
