New Trailer Released for Adam Sandler’s Crime Thriller ‘Uncut Gems’

A new trailer has just been released for the upcoming A24 film Uncut Gems, directed by Josh Safdie and Benny Safdie, who also co-wrote the script with Ronald Bronstein. After premiering at the Telluride Film Festival and screening at the Toronto International Film Festival, the film received critical praise and is currently Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes with a rating of 94%. To everyone familiar with cinema, that is astounding for an Adam Sandler film.

The trailer features a confident Adam Sandler betting a little too freely, judging by one of his associates’ warnings. We then get glimpses into his character Howard Ratner’s personal life and the trouble that come with it when he seemingly gets caught for cheating on his significant other. The musician The Weekend also makes a cameo in the trailer. It ends as Sandler states “This is me. This is how I win,” and someone else comments that he’s just a “crazy ass Jew.”

Check out the new trailer below:

Uncut Gems is an electrifying crime thriller about Howard Ratner (Sandler), a charismatic New York City jeweler turned conman always on the lookout for the next big score. When he makes a series of high-stakes bets that could lead to the windfall of a lifetime, Howard must perform a precarious high-wire act, balancing business, family, and encroaching adversaries on all sides, in his relentless pursuit of the ultimate win. Along with Sandler, the film stars Lakeith Stanfield, Julia Fox, Kevin Garnett, Idina Menzel, Eric Bogosian, and Judd Hirsch.

Uncut Gems will have a limited release starting December 13th and will get a wide release on Christmas.
