New Storyboard Confirms ‘Riddick 4: Furya’ Is In Development

Good news for fans of the cult classic franchise Riddick, after years in the epitome of development hell (via no distributor) it appears that the long-awaited sequel to the 2013 film Riddick is in full-swing development for Universal Pictures. Alongside this announcement, fans should rejoice that the series veteran Vin Diesel is heavily involved with the picture. He announced that the film is in the storyboarding phase by posting a handful of cards from the animated storyboard on social media.

Previously, the last update audiences got from Diesel and Universal was months ago on December 6, when Diesel had shared that he had a very productive meeting at Universal. Diesel has kept up a nice breadcrumb trail of information about the sequel, with the latest post adding on to the series of teasers released by the star of another hit film franchise The Fast and The Furious. Diesel seems to be very eager to take another crack at the Neo-action hero.

From what information we have, the film’s script is finished, and shooting will potentially start this year after the filming of The Fast and The Furious X. With more updates to come, Riddick 4: Furya seems to have a promising outlook after such a dreary frontend.
