Sony has released a new clip from Jake Kasdan’s (Bad Teacher) Sex Tape. The film portrays Jason Segel and Cameron Diaz act as a married couple, whose attempt to “relight the fire” goes amiss. The scribes, Segel, Kate Angelo (Back-up Plan), and Nicholas Stoller (The Five-Year Engagement) seem more than capable of fueling comedy.
The film follows Jay (Segel) and Annie (Diaz), who accidentally upload their 3-hour long sex video to the cloud, and the duo’s attempts to delete the shameful video from their friends’ and family’s iPads.
Sex Tape’s newest clip (below) portrays Diaz seducing Segel in a roller skate get-up. However, as shown in the previous red band trailer, when Diaz sports this minimal outfit, problems arise. It is at this moment that the pair discuss filming a sex tape for themselves.
This summer comedy seems like a promising hit, for both its coquettish title and star power. Sex Tape was such a daring title that the film crew had to use Basic Math as a working title to acquire filming locations. In addition to Diaz and Segel, the film’s cast also includes Rob Corddry (Warm Bodies), Ellie Kemper (21 Jump Street), and Rob Lowe (Parks and Recreation).
The film opens July 18th, the same day as The Purge: Anarchy.
