New Concept Art, Plot Details, And Release Date Announced For ‘Incredibles 3’ During D23 2026

New concept art has been released for Incredibles 3 during this year’s D23 Expo. The concept art follows the same Art Deco style as the previous two movies in the Incredibles franchise. It features Mr. Incredible in what appears to be his “Glory Days” suit from the opening of the original 2004 movie, protecting several civilians by holding up a large round object.

In addition to this concept art, Disney revealed the first plot details at this year’s D23 Expo. The film will not feature a time jump and will be set shortly after the events of Incredibles 2. Violet, Dash, and Jack-Jack will take on more leading roles, sneaking out of the house to do hero work under their parents’ noses. Much of the original voice cast returns, including Craig T. Nelson as Bob Parr/Mr. Incredible, Holly Hunter as Helen Parr/ Elastigirl, Samuel L. Jackson as Frozone, and Sarah Vowell as Violet. In addition, Huck Milner is reprising his role as Dash. Incredibles 3 will be the first movie in the franchise not directed by Brad Bird. While Bird will still write the film, Elemental director Peter Sohn will direct it. Bird’s next film is Ray Gun, set to release on Netflix later this year.

Disney has also announced a new release date for Incredibles 3. The film will release in theaters on June 16, 2028.
