New Thriller Film ‘Seeker’ Starring ‘Obsession’s Cooper Tomlinson To Begin Production

Cooper Tomlinson in Focus Features' 'Obsession' (2026)

Adam Rehmeier is set to direct the up-and-coming thriller picture Seeker, starring Cooper Tomlinson of newfound Obsession fame, alongside actresses Jessica Rothe, who audiences may know from the Happy Death Day films, and Mika Abdalla.

The original screenplay, penned by Michael Learner, follows a man named Grant, (Tomlinson), whose wife has been missing for five years. Grant, a ride-share driver, picks up a passenger whom he comes to believe is the culprit behind his wife’s unsolved disappearance.

Production is reported to begin in January of next year, with filming taking place in Washington State, USA. Financing the project, Hammerstone Studios is an American indie film financing and production company, most notable for Zach Cregger’s Barbarian, which grossed around $45 million worldwide, ten times its production budget.

Cooper Tomlinson will next star in Blumhouse’s Anything But Ghosts, a film he co-wrote with Curry Barker. Barker is set to direct the film, as he did with Obsession, though unlike the hit 2025 horror film, he now has a starring role. Other actors attached to the project are Bryce Dallas Howard and Aaron Paul. Anything But Ghosts is scheduled to release in May of the next year, making 2027 an exciting year for Tomlinson.
