New ‘A Million Ways to Die in the West’ Trailer Has More Backstory and Accents

Trailers, images, and general information for Seth MacFarlane’s upcoming western-comedy, A Million Ways to Die in the West are popping up in pretty rapid succession. Considering how often we’ve been getting new material, you can’t really expect the new (red band) trailer to offer a whole lot of new information without spoiling too many jokes or plot points.

So we still get MacFarlane’s character, Albert talking about how dangerous the old west is, and failing miserably at shooting targets. There’s plenty of sex jokes based around Sarah Silverman’s vagina and Giovanni Ribisi’s virginity. As it’s a red band trailer, there’s plenty of uncensored profanity and violence – including the ice crushing head scene that’s been in just about every trailer and TV spot.

Then what is new? Well, we get some insight into Albert’s hilariously miserable childhood – kind of explains his low opinion of where and when he lives. Also, there are a few more scenes with Liam Neeson’s villainous outlaw character, and any opportunity to here Neeson speaking in an unconcealed Irish accent these days is a good one.

A Million Ways to Die in the West comes to theaters May 30, 2014.
