‘Never Been Kissed’ Writers Sign Schumer for their Directorial Debut ‘I Feel Pretty’

Amy Schumer has signed on to star in and produce I Feel Pretty, a project that was written by writing dream team Abby Kohn and Marc Silverstein (writing credits include Never Been Kissed, He’s Just Not That Into You and The Vow). This will also be the two’s directorial debut.

The project was snatched up by Voltage Pictures, who will be financing the film and handling all distribution rights at the upcoming Cannes Film Festival. Wonderland Sound & Vision, Kohn and Silverstein’s company, will also be involved in the picture. McG and Mary Viola (from Wonderland), as well as Alissa Phillips, Dominic Rustam, and Nicolas Chartier (from Voltage) will be producing with Schumer’s longtime collaborator Kevin Kane. Jonathan Decker will executive produce for Voltage.

The logline for the film is being kept a secret. but the production is set to shoot on the East Coast this summer.

Schumer has had extremely steady work since the success of the her film Trainwreck, with her latest film being Jonathan Levine comedy with legend Goldie Hawn, titled Snatched. That film will release on May 12. She will also be releasing a drama opposite Miles Teller, Thank You For Your Service, in the fall.
