Natalie Portman Tied To Rodeo Film ‘Bronco Belle’

Tristar has begun their process of acquiring the film Bronco Belle for distribution and finance purposes, and are in talks to select their star and director for the film. Natalie Portman has been chosen to play the protagonist of the film Raylene Jackson, and Anna Rose Holmer is currently discussing the directing opportunity, according to Deadline.

Bronco Belle follows the young waitress Ralyene Jackson, who aspires to be a professional rodeo rider. After receiving training from a veteran of the circuit, she proceeds to join the scene, where many difficulties arise as she struggles with the male-dominated rodeo scene and the power of the bulls and various other animals. It appears the script is well-accepted and well-liked. TriStar is aiming to set production for this year.

Portman is an Oscar-winner for Black Swan and most recently received an Oscar nomination for Best Actress for Jackie, a film following First Lady Jackie Kennedy after the death of President John F. Kennedy. She has just recently finished filming for Annihilationwhich currently has a February 23, 2018 release date. Anna Rose Holmer is most known for being a photographer and camerawoman for films, with contributions to Twilight and Tiny Furniture.
