Although The Batman is bound for release soon starring Robert Pattinson’s newest iteration of the character, in the very same year fans will get the chance to see Michael Keaton reprise his role as the caped crusader from Batman (1989) and Batman Returns (1992). Keaton shared a new look from his time on set, the Instagram image simply showing the iconic silhouette of the character; just enough to get fans excited but keep them wanting more.
Keaton will first star as Batman in Andy Muscietti’s The Flash film, starring Ezra Miller as Barry Allen/The Flash, which releases in theaters this November. He will then appear in the aforementioned HBO Max film Batgirl, directed by Bilall Fallah and Adil El Arbi. Leslie Grace will star in the film as Barbara Gordon/Batgirl alongside Brendan Fraser as Firefly and Ivory Aquino as Alysia Yeoh. Jacob Scipio, Rebecca Front, Corey Johnson, and Ethan Kai are also starring in the film in currently unknown roles. This is an exciting time for DC fans with multiple Batmen, both old and new, hitting the silver screen. Only time will tell what the true role of Keaton’s Batman will be.
