Michael B. Jordan Talks ‘Creed III’ And The Possibility Of A ‘Dragon Ball Z’ Movie In The Future

Black Panther and Creed actor Michael B. Jordan has a reputation for being a big anime fan. In 2021 he even launched a clothing line in collaboration with Coach themed around the shonen anime show Naruto. The actor has been busy giving interviews about Creed III, the film just premiered this March 3. In a recent interview, he discussed possibly making a Dragon ball Z live-action Film.

There is already a Live action version of the popular anime. However, this film is very disliked among fans and has become well known only because of how unworthy of the series it is. In recent years, live-action adaptations for anime shows have been a thing; Netflix released a Death Note adaptation in 2017 that scored bad reviews from viewers. The popular series already had a Japanese live-action version done before. Currently, Netflix is planning a One Piece series, also a One-Punch man feature is in development by Sony Pictures.

Jordan was asked in the interview with the Nerdist whether he would direct a live-action Dragon Ball Z feature. The actor responded while laughing that a project like that would be “The ultimate challenge” he also talked about some anime shows being an influence in Creed III, having Dragon Ball Z, of course, as one of them, and also Naruto and Hajime no Ippo. Especially when it came to creating fights. The latest Creed film has been inspired visually by anime for the fighting scenes and brings certain themes present in the Japanese genre, according to Jordan.
