Matthew McConaughey, Ben Affleck and more from Original ‘Dazed and Confused’ Cast to do Charity Livestream Table Read

The cast of the 1993 coming-of-age comedy Dazed and Confused, including Matthew McConaughey and Ben Affleck, are reuniting to do a live script reading to benefit the Dallas-based March for Science’s #VoteForScience campaign in support of Texas voting initiatives.

Other stars from the original film including Parker Posey, Jason London, Joey Lauren Adams and Adam Goldberg will be joining McConaughey and Affleck for the livestream, with Patton Oswalt moderating a live Q&A after the reading.

Fans who want to watch the livestream, which will take place October 11 at 7:30 p.m. EST, can donate any amount here for access.

The news comes after the recent viral table reading for Fast Times at Ridgemont High, where stars like Brad Pitt, Jennifer Aniston, Shia LeBeouf and Morgan Freeman got together to do a reading of the 1982 high-school comedy to benefit charity.

Richard Linklater’s Dazed and Confused is a low-budget stoner cult classic about the final day of school at Lee High in Austin, Texas. Before his iconic role as the slacker hipster David Wooderson, McConaughey was an unknown name in Hollywood. His performance in the film became the launching pad for the rest of the career.
