‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ Named Best Picture by Online Film Critics Society

Critics awards for the best of 2015 keep rolling out. Now comes the announcement of the winners of the 19th Online Film Critics Society. The big winners were, by now, the expectant group including George Miller’s Mad Max: Fury Road (which topped with four mentions including Best Picture) and Todd Haynes’ Carol (which won three including prize a piece for stars Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara). Notably, outside their main line-up, the Online Film Critics Society came out with a list of the best films of the year that haven’t yet reached U.S. cinemas- a line-up that includes many of the top international films and festival favorites of 2015 (including the big winner at Cannes this year- Dheepan from director Jacques Audiard, Rust and Bone).
