Lucy Liu To Executive Produce Sci-Fi Movie ‘Reset’

Lucy Liu (Charlie’s Angels) has joined the team behind Sci-Fi short, Reset, as executive producer.  The short film, written and directed by Celine Tien and Jerry Hsu, premiered at the Fantasia International Film Festival and follows a story about people reseting their lives to the age of 6 after living 65 years. The short film is now being made into a feature which is what Liu is producing. In The Hollywood Reporter, Liu said, “Supporting Reset has been a true joy. Seeing such gifted filmmakers bring their vision to life is a powerful reminder that storytelling remains our most enduring form of art.”

The movie stars Olivia Lang (Kung Fu) and Sam Song Li (The Brother’s Sun) who play a brother and sister having to look after their mom who reset her age back to six years old. In the aforementioned interview with The Hollywood Reporter, directors Celine Tien and Jerry Hsu say,”Inspired by our families’ lived experiences, Reset became a way to examine the inheritance of trauma and empathy across generations. We wanted to ask the question: Do we ever really grow up?”

No information has been given about a theatrical release for the film or what the feature version of the film will include.
