Award-winning director John Baird is bringing Hollywood’s greatest comedy duo to the big screen in Stan & Ollie, a biography about Laurel and Hardy that follows the pair’s attempt to reignite their film careers. The film stars John C. Reilly and Steve Coogan in a heartwarming true story that would most notably result in a triumphant farewell tour.
The film chronicles the famous duo’s lives after their golden era fell behind them as they embark on a variety hall tour in Britain and Ireland. The movie features their supportive wives, played by Shirley Henderson and Nina Arianda, as they balance family life with a love of entertaining people who grew to adore them.
