According to Deadline, Kit Connor (Heartstopper) is being considered to play Cyclops in the new X-Men. In the Avengers: Doomsday trailer, it appears that James Marsden is returning as Cyclops, so it’s not certain what version Connor will play. Marsden originally played the character for three X-men movies as well as cameos in other X-Men projects. In more recent live action movies focusing on the X-Men, Tye Sheridan (Ready Player One) played a younger version of Cyclops.
Scott Summers, also known as Cyclops, is considered the leader of the X-Men. His character dons a visor that allows him to control beams that come from his eyes. In the older X-Men movies, he had a love triangle between Wolverine, played by Hugh Jackman (Logan), and Phoenix, played by Famke Janssen (007: Goldeneye). No information about the rest of the X-Men being recast has been released as of now.
The only other information that has been said about the casting comes from another Deadline article. The article says that Samara Weaving (Ready or Not) is set to be cast as Emma Frost. Emma Frost has only been featured in very few live-action adaptations of X-Men. In X-Men: First Class, she was portrayed by January Jones (Madmen) and portrayed by Tahyna Tozzi (MUM Misunderstanding of Miscarriage) in a brief cameo in X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
No other casting for the new X-Men has been confirmed.
