Oscar-nominated Keira Knightley, a very talented actress seen in every type of blockbusters from indie to action to period romance films. She has done it all; she has also worked on movies with nude scenes to sex scenes, but she says no more to sex scenes under a male director. She added a no-nudity clause to her contract in 2015.
Knightley revealed all during an episode of the Chanel Connects podcast to filmmaker Lulu Wang and producer/journalist Diane Solway. Since having her children, she couldn’t do any nude or sex scenes with men watching her.
The actress understood the need for nudity in films, but the way they were filmed, the 35-year-old wanted no part of it. She said that she didn’t “want it to be those horrible sex scenes where you’re all greased up, and everybody is grunting. I’m not interested in doing that.”
Knightley goes on to say, “There’s times where I go, ‘Yeah, I completely see where this sex would be really good in this film and you basically just need somebody to look hot,’ so, therefore, you can use somebody else. Because I’m too vain, and the body has had two children now, and I’d just rather not stand in front of a group of men naked.”
