Jonathan Rhys Meyers and John Malkovich In Lead Roles For Pandemic Thriller ‘The Survivalist’

A pandemic thriller The Survivalist stars Jonathan Rhys Meyers (The Tudors) and John Malkovich (Ava), which has recently finished filming. The film was directed by Jon Keeyes (Red 48) from an original script by Matthew Rogers. The movie takes place a year and a half after society’s fall due to a viral outbreak. Former FBI agent (Meyers) is forced to protect a young woman immune to the disease from a dangerous gang leader (Malkovich) who is hunting her who believes he can use her to save the world.

Jordan Yale Levine and Jordan Beckerman are producing the film through their Yale Productions banner, the company behind Chick Fight starring Malin Akerman, Bella Thorne, and Alec Baldwin.

“We’re thrilled and honored to be working with screen legends John Malkovich and Jonathan Rhys Meyers on The Survivalist, an exhilarating, timely, and action-packed feature film with stellar performances,” said Levine and Beckerman.

Malkovich is currently filming the thriller Wash Me in the River, about a recovering addict seeking revenge on drug dealers that were responsible for selling drugs that killed his fiancé.

Meyers is currently working on several movies like Altitude, Ambush, James and Lucia, and The Cuisine War. He has finished working on films like Hide and Seek, Rajah, and Yakuza Princess.
