‘John Wick: Chapter 4’ Shreds ‘Shazam 2’ To Pieces With $73.5 Million US Opening

John Wick: Chapter 4 opened the US weekend box office with an impressive $73.5 Million. Comparatively Shazam! Fury of the Gods opened to a measly $30 million and had an 80% decline on its second weekend.

Shazam 2’s budget was $125 million. John Wick: Chapter 4 is on a steady pace to make its budget of $90 million.

Shazam 2 star Zachary Levi has urged fans to watch Shazam 2 over John Wick: Chapter 4.

“I love Keanu Reeves. If you want to see John Wick, fucking… go for it,” Levi said on Instagram Live. “I’m not going to tell you not to. But John Wick’s not a family movie, so if you’re looking for a movie for your family or your date or whatever, you just don’t want to get into hardcore [makes gunfire noises], go see Shazam Fury of the Gods.”
