Today it was confirmed that actor Daniel Radcliffe and his partner, actress Erin Darke, will become parents. The news was confirmed to CNN by Scott Boute, representative for the Harry Potter actor. A few days ago, a paparazzi photograph of the couple walking on the street was published and circulated in different media. In the photo, Darke’s baby bump is seen.
The couple has been together for ten years now. They met first at the set of Kill Your Darlings in 2013 and filmed together again in 2016 the dramedy Don’t Think Twice.
Darke is known for her role in the show Good Girls Revolt. She also has appeared recently in TBS show Miracle Workers.
Radcliffe, now 33, has discussed the chance of having children in interviews. In 2022 the actor was promoting his film Weird: The Al Yankovic Story and talked with Newsweek. He mentioned being open to exposing his children to movie sets someday, saying, “I want my kids, if and when they exist…I would love them to be around film sets.” He added that sets can be “wonderful places” for kids, however, the fame side “should be avoided at all costs.”
Radcliffe knows firsthand what fame means as a kid since he became famous worldwide at a very young age, starring as the title character in the Harry Potter franchise. Growing up, the actor got attached to more independent projects and is currently starring in Miracle Workers.
