John Travolta and Bruce Willis Reuniting for First Time Since ‘Pulp Fiction’ on Action Film ‘Paradise City’

For the first time in 27 years, John Travolta and Bruce Willis are starring together in new film together, Chuck Russell‘s upcoming action film, Paradise City (via Deadline). The two actors haven’t worked together since their iconic roles in Quentin Tarantino‘s beloved crime film, Pulp Fiction.

In the new film, Willis plays a renegade bounty hunter, Ryan Swan, who must blast his way through the Hawaiian crime underworld to wreak veangance on the kingpin,  played by Travolta, who murdered his father. Thai actress and model Praya Lundberg is set to star as the female lead.

Corey Large is co-writing the film with writing partner Ed John Drake. Large has been working to see Travolta and Willis reteam in this particular project since 2006, and the writer will also play a small role as part of Willis’ bounty hunting posse. Production on the film is set to start this Monday in Maui, Hawaii.

Russell is known for directing films like The Mask, Eraser and The Scorpion King. He also recently directed the film I Am Wrath in 2016, which starred Travolta in the leading role, and the 2019 hidi-language action film Junglee. It’s unclear when we’ll finally see this reteaming of Travolta and Willis, but with production set to begin in the very-near future, it probably won’t be too long before we hear about a release date.
