Recently there’s been a large amount of great posters and set photos released about the upcoming film in the X-Men series, Apocalypse. Both its cast and storyline are by far the most substantial yet, and thanks to the official Twitter feed of the series, fans can get another look at the mutants once again. Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique) is reportedly one of the lead characters in the film along with series regular, James McAvoy (Charles Xavier).

Alongside Lawrence is Evan Peters (Quicksilver) and Nicholas Hoult (Beast), with the former having made his debut in 2014’s Days of Future Past. But, there are plenty of new faces as well featured here; Sophie Turner (Jean Grey), Tye Sheridan (Cyclops), Olivia Munn (Psylocke), and Kodi Smit-McPhee (Nightcrawler). The number of other newcomers to goes on and on, which probably means there will be many new storylines and series connections planned for the upcoming films.
Having director Bryan Singer (X-Men) now make his fourth stamp on the series should prove to be a smart move for 20th Century Fox and Marvel, with his past three all having achieved financial and critical success. But with the amount of new characters and the epic scale of the story, there’s a lot to handle. Luckily the cast is so incredible across the board that there’s plenty of support in all areas for him.
X-Men: Apocalypse hits theaters on May 27, 2016.
