Academy Award winning actress Jennifer Lawrence (Silver Linings Playbook) has taken time from her busy schedule to make a cameo appearance in the long awaited and highly anticipated buddy comedy Dumb & Dumber To, with Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels reprising their roles from Dumb and Dumber.
Recently on the Jimmy Fallon Show, doing publicity for her upcoming Hunger Games: Catching Fire (premiering this November 22), she confessed her guilty pleasure of being a huge Dumb and Dumber fan. Presently filming scenes for the continuing Hunger Game franchise with Mockingjay (Part 1 and Part 2) in Georgia, Lawrence has been spotted on her off days hanging out on the Dumb & Dumber To set, also filming in Georgia.
Dumb & Dumber To takes place 20 years after Harry Dunne (Jeff Daniels, recent Emmy winner for HBO’s Newsroom) and Lloyd Christmas (Jim Carrey, most recently of Kick Ass 2) were first introduced to audiences. The sequel is again being helmed by the Farrelly Brothers (Bobby and Peter), who are also writing along with Sean Anders, John Morris, Bernadette Yellin and Mike Cerrone.
Not straying far from the original (just attempting to outdo the laughs), the film is again a road trip, with the premise that Harry needs a kidney transplant and the two go in search of Harry’s daughter for the donation. Kathleen Turner (The War of The Roses, Romancing The Stone) plays Fraida Fletcher a former romantic interest of both Lloyd and Harry. Jennifer Lawrence will play the younger version of Fraida in a flashback. Cam Neely returns as the ragey Sea Bass.
Charles B. Wessler, Bradley Thomas, Riza Aziz and Joey McFarland are producing, and the picture will drop in 2014.
