Between Superman and the second Peachmaker season, the era of James Gunn’s DC Universe is in full swing. While the immediate future of the shared universe is within sight, Gunn himself shared an update regarding what could come later on.

So far, the only projects to be released for the DC Universe are the aforementioned Peacemaker season two and Superman. But the next few years promise even more, coming in the form of Clayface, Supergirl, and a Superman sequel titled Man Of Tomorrow.

As of now, Man Of Tomorrow is the furthest confirmed project from release, with a debut set for July 2027. But as for what comes after, it may not be exactly what Gunn anticipated, after he and Peter Safran were put in charge, thanks largely to a possible Warner Bros. buyout.

“So whether or not that’ll be me that’s able to fulfil that promise depends on a lot of things in life,” Gunn told BobaTalks after clarifying that his plans do extend beyond a Superman sequel.

While reporting on Gunn’s comment, MovieWeb noted that some projects in the DC Universe have already shifted greatly. However, those were under the guiding hand of Gunn and Safran, with MovieWeb noting as well that their set course could be forced to change while under new management.
