Jack Huston Takes Over ‘Wash Me In The River’ Lead After Big Stars Drop

Jack Huston has taken over the lead role in the Randall Emmet directed film Wash Me In The River. This is after both rapper Machine Gun Kelly and actor Taylor Kitsch dropped out of the project. The film also stars Robert DeNiro and John Malkovich

The project is about a recovering drug addict(Huston) going on a rampage to stop every person involved in the death of his fiance, while two officers are on his trail(presumably DeNiro and Malkovich).

This will mark Randall Emmet’s sophomore outing as director, though he has produced over one hundred films during his career in the industry. This includes the last two DeNiro films, the critically acclaimed The Irishman and the family friendly The War with Grandpa. In addition Emmett has produced plethora of projects from The Wicker Man remake to End of Watch. Adam Taylor Barker and Chris Sivertson pen the scripts.

Jack Huston has garnered success for his time as Richard Harrow in Boardwalk Empire as well as his recent stint as Odis Weff in the fourth installment of Fargo. The latter of roles being quite similar to the leading role in this film.

No word of a start in production, but it is safe to assume that the film will shoot during the pandemic under strict COVID-19 protocol.
