Isla Fisher To Star In ‘Strays’ With Will Ferrell, Jamie Foxx

Isla Fisher has joined the star-studded cast of filmmaker Josh Greenbaum’s latest project Strays, an adult comedy about talking dogs. The project follows his breakout hit Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar.

Greenbaum will direct the film for Universal and Will Ferell, Jamie Foxx, and Randall Park are on the voice sheet alongside Fisher. Will Forte is the rare live-action human in production which is intended to send the film into adult comedy territory.

Details about Fisher’s character are being kept in the doghouse, but you can see her starring opposite of Josh Gad in her latest project, a Peacock miniseries Wolf Like Me. The film won’t be the first time the Australian actress has lent her voice to a film, having roles in projects such as Rise of the Guardians, Rango, and Horton Hears a Who. She also scored the lead role in Netflix’s animated feature Back to the Outback.

Picturestart founder and CEO Erik Feig, Louis Leterrier, and Greenbaum are producing along with Phil Lord and Chris Miller, as well as Lord Miller- president of film Aditya Sood.

Universal has set the release date for June 9th, 2023.
