The second Aquaman film that is currently in production has added new faces to the already familiar cast. Indya Moore, Jani Zhao, and Vincent Regan have been confirmed to have integral new roles in the upcoming DC movie.
Vincent Regan will play the part of none other than Atlan, the mad king of Atlantis of yore. A man who is singlehandedly responsible for the submarine situation of Atlantis and is the father of Ocean Master.
Indya Moore will be one of DC’s longstanding characters Karshon. Originally appearing as a villain in Green Lantern #24 all the way back from 1963. Karshon is the result of a regular tiger shark exposured to radioactivity. It evolved into a super being with incredible intellegince and telepathy while retaining its ruthless predatory instinct. Originally male in the comics, the character will be gender swapped to be a woman.
Jani Zhao’s character is the one we know the least about. A mysterious figure that has been added to thicken the plot but whom we know very little about.
We will get to see the return of familiar faces such as Jason Momoa as the prince of Atlantis, of course, Amber Heard as Mera, Patrick Wilson as Ocean Master, and Dolph Lundgren as King Nereus among others. Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom is set to release in movie theaters on December 16, 2022.
