Hulu Debuts ‘Palm Springs’ Commentary Cut

Hulu is doing some unusual, something that has never been done before on any streaming service. Variety has learned exclusively that Hulu will debut the commentary cuts of their hit movie Palm Springs. It will feature Andy Samberg and Cristin Milioti, who also stars in the comedy.

The thing about commentary cuts is that they usually come with the once-popular DVDs, but DVDs are the thing of the past now that streaming has taken the most popular seat and has been reigning ever since. Palm Spring commentary cut is now available to stream on Hulu. It has input not only from the leads Samberg and Milioti but also the director Max Barbakow and screenwriter Andy Siara.

“As far as I know, we’re the first,” Samberg told Variety. “We realized that ‘Palm Springs’ will always be on Hulu, which is great, but there are elements of the DVD experience that just don’t exist anymore. They were very amenable in talking about ways to get some fun stuff in there.”

Nyles (Samberg), a self-destructive wedding guest trapped in an everlasting time loop on the same day, but when an accident throws Sarah (Milioti), the bride’s sister, into his time trap, shaking up his existential woes as she attempts to escape.
