Several of Hollywood’s most iconic film props are being auctioned off between June 28th-30th. This historic prop auction will have memorabilia such as Carrie Fisher’s Princess Leia dress from the original Star Wars movies, the Batpod motorcycle used in The Dark Knight, and the iconic Star-Lord Helmet from Guardians of The Galaxy. 

The iconic Batpod is one of six made and was one of the vehicles driven by stuntman Jean-Pierre Goy. This vehicle has been kept safe in the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles, as well as the VIP Private Vault in the Hollywood Dream Machines exhibit since 2019. Unfortunately this iconic Batpod is labeled as “rolling only” due to the battery, fuel tank, and throttle controls being removed. A metal stand is provided for display purposes.

Princess Leia’s dress has been screen-matched and looks to be the dress worn in the closing scene when Luke Skywalker and Han Solo are being awarded. This dress is designed by Oscar winning costume designer John Mollo. Allegedly, this is the last Leia costume to still publicly exist from the original films. It was also used for multiple promotional photoshoots during the filming.

The Batpod and Princess Leia’s Dress are both estimated to go for $2 million each at the auction.

As Guardians Of The Galaxy comes to an end, the famous Star-Lord Helmet is now up for sale. Hand-painted, this helmet is to
give a sleek, metallic finish with intentional scrapes. It is also LED functional and battery operated. Its estimated range is between $100,000 to $200,000. 

This event is being hosted in Los Angeles and will be auctioning off over 1,400 Hollywood items. Some smaller, yet iconic items listed include multiple props such as a screen-matched 1982 Poltergeist evil clown doll estimated for $200,000-$400,000, and the escape hammer used by Tim Robbins in Shawshank Redemption.
