He’s back! ‘T2’ Returns to Theaters on August 25th in 3D!

Terminator 2: Judgement Day is coming back to the big screen, this time in 3-D! Released twenty-six years ago in the summer of 1991, T2 became the highest grossing film that year and was groundbreaking in its use of visual effects from Industrial Light and Magic. It is often regarded as one of the best sequels ever made and most iconic action film of all time, and for that T2 is still memorable after a quarter of a century.

It does make me wonder how the 3-D conversion will go, but since James Cameron oversaw the 3-D conversion of Titanic when released five years ago to honor the 100-year anniversary of the doomed liner’s sinking, and the film that enhanced the viewing spectacle of 3-D, Avatar. I’m sure that T2 will look polished and even better than when it first hit theaters.

He will be back on August 25th, so mark your calendars and get ready for one hell of a action packed ride. Check out the trailer below.

Rick Rice: A kid at heart who has loved watching movies from a very young age. Credit must be given to Siskel and Ebert whose film reviews educated me on the world of film inspired me to become a writer myself. I love to read books that range from various topics, copious amounts of research is something that excites me and of course sitting in a movie theater is a highlight of my life. When I'm not watching movies or reading I enjoy listening to foreign music and working hard on finishing my short stories. Currently working on my degree in English with a plan to enroll into Film School with the dream of becoming a screenwriter and director.
