Help Lloyd Kaufman ‘Return to Nuke ‘Em High’ with this Kickstarter

If you like wacky low-budget gorefests, chances are you’ve seen at least one film put out by Troma Entertainment. From The Toxic Avenger (1984) to Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead (2006), Troma is one of the longest running and most recognizable producers of independent exploitations films in America. Filmmakers like James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy) and Trey Parker and Matt Stone (South Park) got there start with the company. Now, director and Troma co-founder, Lloyd  Kaufman (the Toxic Avenger quadrology, Tromeo and Juliet, Sgt. Kabukiman N.Y.P.D.) wants to create the “explosive finale” to his Nuke ‘Em High film series, and he’d taking to Kickstarter to do so.

Have a look a the plot of Return to Nuke ‘Em High: Volume 2, the sequel to a follow-up to Troma’s action sci-fi high school drama trilogy, The Class of Nuke ‘Em High (released in 1986, 1991, and 1994).

Return to Nuke ‘Em High: Volume 2 is the continuation of the compelling adventure of Lauren and Chrissy, two lesbian lovers who must face and defeat the most corrupt and evil forces ever to descend upon Tromaville…and the world!

When a perverse conspiracy is launched by the demented CEO of a multi-national “organic food” company, our heroines become embroiled in a death defying fight to restore their own humanity, while at the same time saving the entire world from enslavement and the apocalypse.

According to the film’s Kickstarter page, filming is pretty much done, so the money raised will be covering post-production costs. The goal has been set at $50,000 (more than half of which has already been raised at the time of writing) with a June 24th deadline.
