‘He-Man’ Movie Gets Delayed, Maybe Even Canceled

Bad news for any He-Man fans out there, as it looks like Sony has decided to post-pone its plans for the He-Man and the Masters of the Universe movie. According to ScreenRant, the possible The Masters of the Universe movie is just being delayed, but Newsarama reports that the project has actually been canceled. Deadline reported that Sony gave He-Man’s release date to the long awaited Uncharted movie, but apparently The Masters of the Universe is no longer on Sony’s official release schedule, which does not sound good the hero of Eternia’s future.

Like the Uncharted movie, The Masters of the Universe reboot movie has gone through a difficult and tumultuous production. It was initially announced that writers Art Marcum and were supposed to write the film’s script and that Noah Centineo would be playing Prince Adam and of Eternia, as well as his musclebound half-naked alter ego He-Man. Centineo, probably best known for his role in To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, looks a lot different than the last person to play He-Man in live action- Rocky IV’s Dolph Lundgren- but it would have been interesting to see Centineo’s take on the character.

Until anything further is announced, at least we still have Netflix’s She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, which released its fourth season last November.
