Suicide Squad doesn’t hit theaters for another two weeks, but Margot Robbie‘s take on the twisted baddie Harley Quinn already feels close to iconic. Warner Bros. and DC have certainly have been putting the character front and center on their marketing campaign and today came a special Harley Quinn trailer for Suicide Squad, showcasing the weird vibrancy that has already generated a ton of buzz from both the comic-book inclined crowd and otherwise.
The character has been a fan favorite since first introduced on Batman: The Animated Series in 1992. Introduced as a sidekick (and sometimes lover) of sorts for The Joker, the character has evolved over the years and has since become one the defining DC villains. While Suicide Squad will introduce the character on the big screen, Warner Bros. and Robbie appear to have larger ambitions for the character, as a further evolution of the character is currently in development for future movies.
In the meantime, check the latest Suicide Squad trailer starring Harley Quinn. Suicide Squad opens in theaters on August 5th.
