Halsey And Moses Sumney Join Cast Of Ti West’s ‘MaXXXine’

Halsey and Moses Sumney are the new names joining the final film in Ti West’s trilogy, MaXXXine. Last year, Ti West released X, a ‘70s-era slasher centered around a group of amateur porn stars. The film starred Kid Cudi, Brittany Snow, and Martin Henderson and made a breakout star out of Mia Goth.

Right after filming for X wrapped, Ti West began working on the prequel/sequel Pearl. Mia Goth also starred in Pearl as well as contributed to the screenplay. West and Goth will finally collaborate for MaXXXine, following Mia Goth’s character from X in ‘80s Hollywood.

The film starts production later this month, with Moses Sumney in unnamed parts. He recently announced plans to take a break from music after being cast in HBO’s recently controversial new show The Idol starring the Weeknd. Halsey also got her fast significant role in the indie film Americana, which premiered at Sundance earlier this year.

Halsey and Sumney are joining an already stacked cast that includes Elizabeth Debicki (fresh off of a successful portrayal of Princess Diana in the fifth season of The Crown), Kevin Bacon, Michelle Monaghan, Bobby Cannavale, Lily Collins, and Giancarlo Esposito. Recently, A24 tweeted an announcement filled with ‘80s aesthetics galore!
