Director Guy Ritchie is pulling back the curtain on his next film. The trailer for In The Grey had just been released. With the leading talents of Henry Cavill, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Eiza González, In The Grey follows a duo of specialists who continuously butt heads after being hired by a powerful negotiator to help her get to safety. The supporting cast is rounded out by Rosamund Pike, Fisher Stevens, Jason Wong, and Carlos Bardem.
Written, directed, and produced by him, Ritchie is coming off his 2025 film, Fountain Of Youth, an Apple TV globe-trotting adventure. Another of his more recent works, 2024’s Ministry Of Ungentlemanly Warfare, also starred both Cavill and González in leading roles, while 2023’s The Covenant saw him work closely with Gyllenhaal.
Variety noted that In The Grey had a fair share of hurdles to overcome before it could hit theaters. The film itself has been confirmed to be happening since 2023, and was originally expected to see the light of day just last year. 2023 was also the year that the storied double event of the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes took place in tandem, but In The Grey was one of the lucky instances of films that could procure special approval to continue production as the strikes occurred.
