GLAAD & The Black List Partner Up to Support a List of the Best Unmade LGBT Scripts

GLAAD, or the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, has partnered with The Black List, an annul survey of the greatest un-produced screenplays in Hollywood. According to Deadline, both GLAAD and Black List are working together to compile list of the greatest un-produced scripts that deal with LGBTQ themes. The full list can be viewed here. The title of each script is accompanied by its log line.

While in this previous year many LGBT movies including Boy Erased, Love, Simon, Can You Ever Forgive Me, The Favourite, The Happy Prince, and Bohemian Rhapsody as well as films with LGBT characters like Crazy Rich Asians, Deadpool 2, and To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before were released, LGBT representation still has long way to go. Movies that depict romance between same sex couples are often given stronger ratings than films with romance between straight couples.

Members of the LGBT community are still underrepresented in film, but hopefully this list will draw attention to this issue.
