On Friday, Entertainment Weekly gave us a sneak peek of Ansel Elgort in Edgar Wright’s upcoming film Baby Driver.
The action crime thriller follows a young getaway driver who gets in over his head when tangling with a crime boss. His world will be told not only visually but through his eclectic taste in music that becomes the soundtrack to his life. The film was written and directed by Edgar Wright. Wright is most well-known for directing/writing films such as Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, and for writing The Adventures of Tin-Tin and Ant-Man.
The film will star Lily James, Jamie Foxx, Kevin Spacey, Jon Hamm, Eiza Gonzalez, and Ansel Elgort. It will be the first of Wright’s films to be entirely shot in the US.
Wright is currently in development for a few other films, including Collider with JJ Abrams, as well as Fortunately, The Milk, which is set to star Johnny Depp.
Baby Driver is due in US theaters on August 11, 2017.
