Jeff Nichols is continuing to prove his success and talent in film with his latest feature Loving. After its premiere earlier this week, it’s earned rave reviews and premature Oscar buzz for its topical and important subject matter.
Joel Edgerton and Ruth Negga stars as Richard and Mildred Loving, who sue the state of Virginia after they refuse to allow them to marry in 1967, which eventually made its way to the Supreme Court. After the case, the Supreme Court overturned the laws that forbid interracial marriage. The clip features Richard planning to build their home, and when he asks Mildred a life-changing question.
Focus Features is releasing Loving in North America on November 4 in limited release and November 11 in wide release. Watch the clip below.
