Ezra Miller Returns To The Spotlight For ‘The Flash’ Red Carpet Premiere

After many months away from the spotlight, DC star Ezra Miller (pronouns they/them) returned to the red carpet premiere of The Flash for the first time since the controversies regarding their alleged prior arrests. They arrived at the premiere, hosted at the Ovation Hollywood Center, in a detailed white and black suit and expressed gratitude to DC Studios for their kindness and understanding.

In Miller’s speech, they thanked many people, such as director Andy Muschietti, Zack Snyder, and Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav, for their incredible patience regarding their mental issues, alleged arrests, and for bringing the movie to its full completion. They even thanked “the dynamic duo” DC Studios co-chiefs James Gunn and Peter Safran for providing “grace and discernment and care in the context of [their] life and bringing this moment to fruition.”

Last August, Miller was scrutinized after various alleged past arrests and allegations, including robbery, assault, and grooming. As result, Miller told the press that they would begin treatment for their “complex mental issues” and apologized to “everyone that [they] have alarmed and upset with [their] past behavior.” Their apology and the following sabbatical were preceded by friends and family, including their CAA agent, to seek help and take responsibility for their actions.

As a result of these controversies, Warner Bros. barred Miller from attending any press releases regarding the film and planned to proceed with its release. Despite many singing its praises, including James Gunn, The Flash has been projected only to earn about $75 million this week.

It remains to be seen whether or not the positive reviews, Miller’s return, and the alleged controversies will continue to affect box office earnings.
