Elizabeth Moss Attached To Star In Blumhouse’s Adaptaton Of Psychological Thriller ‘Mrs. March’

The Handmaid’s Tale star Elisabeth Moss has teamed up again with Blumhouse with her Love and Squalor Pictures production company to develop a feature film adaptation of Virginia Feito’s upcoming psychological thriller novel Mrs. March. The novel is set to be released in the U.S. in August 2021 via Liveright, an imprint of W.W. Norton & Company.

Moss will play the titular character, a refined Upper East Side housewife who unravels when she begins to suspect that the loathsome main character of her husband’s latest bestselling novel is based on her. 

Feito will pen the screenplay and executive produce. Moss and Lindsey McManus will produce for their Love and Squalor along with Jason Blum for Blumhouse. Carla Hacken and Bea Sequeira will also serve as executive producers.

“I read Virginia’s novel in one sitting and was so captured by it I knew I had to make it and play Mrs. March. As a character, she is fascinating, complex, and deeply human and I can’t wait to sink my teeth into her. Moss was most recently seen in Universal/Blumhouse’s critically acclaimed horror film The Invisible Man, which grossed $130 million at the global box office. She will next appear in Wes Anderson’s The French Dispatch and Taika Waititi’s Next Goal Wins.
