Stuart Ford’s company AGC Studios and Mohamed Karim’s MK Global Entertainment are partnering to produce the movie Judgment of the Dead, an Ancient Egyptian thriller. Additionally, Karim is promised to be a part of the film’s cast, though his role is currently unknown.
Karim is an actor known throughout the Middle East for his roles in Ramadan soap operas, as well as being the host of the show The Voice of Arabia. The actor has starred in many Hollywood action movies, including A Score to Settle with Nicholas Cage and A Day to Die with Bruce Willis. Karim has won numerous awards for his acting roles, including best actor at the Monaco International Film Festival for the romantic comedy A Facebook Romance and at the Alexandria International Film Festival for the movie Stolen Kisses. Karim is credited with building connections between the film world in the Middle East, North Africa, and Hollywood and was named one of GQ Middle East’s “Men of the Year 2021” for his work.
No director has been announced as part of the project, as Judgment of the Dead is still in the early stages of production. Ford is said to be on the lookout for talent and shop the film around at the upcoming Red Sea Film Festival in Saudi Arabia.
Karim worked closely with writer Thomas M. Hewlett, who wrote the screenplay based on Karim’s idea. The film follows Dr. Sherif Hawass, who will be played by Karim, “who must save the world and the woman he loves after he unknowingly releases an ancient evil found in one of his artifacts.”
