Dwayne Johnson Named Hollywood’s Highest-Paid Actor For Second Consecutive Year

The Rock has done it again. For the second year in a row, Dwayne Johnson has made his way to the top of the 2020 list of highest-paid actors.

According to the annual Forbes report, between June 2019 and June 2020, the Hobbs & Shaw star rang in total of $87.5 million. From his lead role in the upcoming Netflix film Red Notice alone, he earned $23.5 million. Along with Johnson’s wide success with acting, he has also seen success with Project Rock, his signature Under Armour clothing line.

Close behind is Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds, coming in second with a total of $71.5 million. Reynolds is also co-starring with Johnson in Red Notice, making $20 million for the Netflix original. Reynolds has worked with Netflix before in 6 Underground and is also in the works for a third film with the streaming service, bringing in large paychecks for both films.

Joining Johnson and Reynolds at the top are acting powerhouses Mark Wahlberg (Spenser Confidential), Ben Affleck (The Way Back) and Vin Diesel (Fast and Furious), coming in third, fourth and fifth, respectively.

Making it on the highest-paid list for the first time is Hamilton’s Lin-Manuel Miranda, who racked up $45.5 million. Also on the list are returnees Akshar Kumar, Will Smith, Adam Sandler and Jackie Chan. Combined, these 10 actors earned over $545 million.
