Disney Releases New ‘Zootopia’ Trailer

Walt Disney Animation Studios released a new trailer for their animal caper, Zootopiaon Monday.

The new trailer shows a fast-talking rabbit police officer (voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin) accompanied by smart-alecky fox (voiced by Jason Bateman) visiting the DMV to run a license plate number, only to encounter s-l-o-w sloths who work behind the counter. The story is about the fox, Nick Wilde, who is trying to clear his name after being framed for a crime, and the police rabbit, Judy Hopps, who is trying to help him with his mission. In addition to Goodwin (TV’s Once Upon a Time) and Bateman (This is Where I Leave You), the voice cast includes Idris Elba (Beasts of No Nation), Academy Award winner J.K. Simmons (Whiplash), Academy Award winner Octavia Spencer (Insurgent), Jenny Slate (Digging for Fire), Grammy-winning singer Shakira, and Tommy Chong (The Fluffy Movie: Unity Through Laughter).

The animated feature is directed by Byron Howard (Tangled), Rich Moore (Wreck-It Ralph, TV’s The Simpsons) and Jared Bush, from a screenplay penned by Phil Johnston (Wreck-It Ralph) and Bush in his screenwriting debut.

Zootopia hits theaters on March 4th.
